Community Rowing of San Diego (CRSD) volunteers stand ready to assist in building and sustaining rowing programs in San Diego County, including youth, open, seniors, masters, adaptive, and para rowing.
Thanks in great part to the LA 84 Foundation, CRSD can even bring rowing to you, conducting classes indoors, using rowing machines (“ergometers”) that we can provide for your lessons or events.
Making the sport of rowing available to the young
CRSD Junior Crew is a rowing team for men and women, age 12-19, that want to continue rowing, but whose high schools do not have a rowing team.
Bringing the sport of rowing to high schools
With assistance from CRSD, Cathedral Catholic High School began its prep rowing program in 2012, quickly establishing itself as model for prep rowing programs in the County and placing two athletes on national teams in its first five years. In 2013 the Gompers Preparatory Academy began its inaugural varsity rowing season, followed by High Tech High, Chula Vista in 2014 and Sweetwater Union High in 2017.
If your school or if students or parents at your school have an interest in establishing a rowing program or creating an affiliation with CRSD, our staff stand ready to assist you information, orientations, and expertise.
Thanks in great part to the LA 84 Foundation, CRSD can even conduct classes indoors, using rowing machines (“ergometers”) that we can provided for your lessons or events.
